Legislative Update
On June 29th, the Governor acted on the budget, vetoing $1.6 billion dollars. The budget’s total spending after line-item vetoes is $117.6 billion. The new fiscal year starts July 1.
Today, the Governor also vetoed CS/SB 688 relating to naturopathic medicine. No one in the House of Medicine supported this legislation so we are all happy to see this bill vetoed.
Since we are finally through regular session, all the special sessions, and qualifying is completed the election season is hard upon us.
